I love gala events in the Philadelphia area. They seem to always include wine, food, and song, a trio that surely needs to be inducted into the Hall of Fame at some point. The 6th Annual Taste of Lambertville will be Friday, November 7, 2008, at the Rescue Squad. Sample signature dishes from 14 of the area’s best restaurants and get in on the live auction of items from local shops, galleries, and boutiques.
For a complete listing of the menu, as well as items to be auctioned, you can click here.
Not tempted yet? Let’s get specific. Hamilton’s Grill Room will be at the party. They’re bringing a seafood raw bar with shrimp, oysters, clams, mussels, green-lipped mussels, and lobster – served with cocktail sauce and lemon.
Homestead Farm Market will be there also. They’ll have mini-sandwiches, sweet potato bake with crunchy topping, and pumpkin soup. Other restaurants include Lambertville Station, Thai Tida, Moustache, The Chocolate Box, Lambertville Trading Company, Baker’s Treat, Rick’s, Caffe Galleria, City Market, Bell’s, DeAnna’s, Inn of the Hawke, Triumph Brewing Company (they’re everywhere!), and Anton’s at the Swan. Wine and beer will be provided.
If you don’t like what any of these people have to cook, you have a problem. See a doctor and get rid of it.
Step right up and get your tickets at Sojourner (609-397-8849) or the Lambert Area Chamber of Commerce (609-397-0055). The location of the event, the Rescue Squad, is at 70 Alexander Avenue, Lambertville, NJ 08530.
