There can’t possibly be a single person left out there who doesn’t agree with me that Andy Reid is the worst coach in the history of organized sports right? I’m thinking that even his family members are openly questioning his work at this point. How could you not, after the Eagles terrible 20-16 loss to the stinkin’ Dallas Cowboys? He truly is a big fat dope.
This game had a little bit of everything that makes Andy the worst ever. He didn’t run the ball enough. The Eagles had stupid penalties at the worst times, which is the mark of an undisciplined team. Andy proved once again that he doesn’t know when to challenge a play. He totally mismanaged the clock. He didn’t make a single in-game adjustment. And he was his usually condescending self when addressing the media after the game. All this against an average Cowboys team that really failed to impress.
It was evident from the Eagles first possession of the game that Donovan McNabb was not going to be accurate with his throws on this day. McNabb was all over the place, yet Reid kept dialing up the passing plays. Reid called 35 passing plays (including four sacks and one McNabb scramble) and 23 running plays. Not exactly balanced, but what do you expect from the coach who has thrown the ball more than any other coach in the NFL over the last decade. Andy will never be able to stop his passaholic ways.
McNabb was a pathetic 16 for 30 for 227 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. That comes out to a sad 61.4 QB rating. McNabb wasn’t helped by another bad performance from the Eagles offensive line. The line couldn’t keep McNabb comfortable in the pocket and couldn’t open up holes for the running game. “Other than that how did you like the play Mrs. Lincoln?”
The main culprit was again - Jason Peters. I don’t believe Peters was actually charged with giving up a sack this week (shocking), but he did make one of the dumbest penalties of the game. Peters, who earned the nickname “Snap Count” in Buffalo, due to the large number of false start penalties he receives, got called for a false start on a play where the Eagles were just lining up to try to get he Cowboys to jump off-sides on a 4th and inches play in the 3rd quarter. I think that fat wallet Peters got from the big contract he just signed is weighing him down. Well, it’s ether that or he just sucks.
Peters wasn’t alone in his bad play against the Cowboys. Stacey Andrews is either still hurt (he’s recovering from ACL surgery in December remember?) or he just sucks too. Jay Ratliff abused him repeatedly. How bad is an offensive line when they can’t gain one yard on three running plays? So bad that Winston Justice is actually the best player on the unit.
The now infamous 4th and 1 QB sneak (that the Eagles are complaining was spotted short by the refs and Reid challenged) was preceded by two LeSean McCoy runs that got zero yards. If you can’t gain one stinkin’ yard in three tries than maybe you should shut the hell up about the refs. The team came up shot on three 3rd and 1s and one 4th and 1 in this game. Keep in mind that the Eagles’ offensive line was completely rebuilt by Andy in the off-season.
Speaking of that botched QB sneak, that was the second play that Andy Reid challenged, unsuccessfully. Most coaches don’t challenge the spot once during a game, but Andy did it twice. He failed twice. Due to the earlier blown timeout, caused by Andy and Marty Mornhinwig getting the play in late, the Eagles had zero timeouts left when they needed them the most at the end of the game.
The Eagles continued their sloppy play by getting bad penalties at the worst times. Rookie LB Moise Fokou cost Ellis Hobbs a 96-yard kickoff return TD with a holding penalty that was nowhere near the play and then he cost Sheldon Brown a 54-yard INT return with an illegal block.
Michael Vick was on the field for two whole snaps. He ran once for two yards and handed the ball off to LeSean McCoy. That Andy, he is the King of Innovation. By the way, the Cowboys ran the Wildcat Formation themselves and somehow managed to score a TD out of it, even though they don’t have Michael Vick. Astonishing.
Andy Reid’s worst move of the day turned out to be the final nail in the coffin of this ugly loss. The Eagles got the ball on their own 36 with 7:57 left in the 4th quarter and drove down to the Dallas 33 with 5:29 left. What happened next was what always happens with an Andy Reid-inspired offense. All passes. Two incompletions left the Eagles with 3rd and 10 at the Dallas 33 yard line. At this point, the score was 20-13 in favor of the Cowboys. The Eagles had to score a TD to tie it. I thought they should run the ball so that they would have a manageable distance to go on 4th down. Nope. McNabb got sacked trying to pass (surprise) at the 34 to set up 4th and 11. Obviously they had to pass now right? Uh, no.
For reasons known only to Andy the Stupid, David Akers came on and kicked a 52-yard field goal. This was the dumbest thing I have seen since some QB didn’t know the rules for overtime in an NFL game. First of all, the FG meant nothing since the Eagles still had to score a TD, trailing 20-16. Second, if Akers missed the FG, the Cowboys would have taken over at the 42 yard line. Finally, Andy Reid is a complete idiot who should have been fired at this exact moment and removed from the field.
The Cowboys got the ball back after the kickoff (No, the Eagles didn’t try an onsides-kick with 4:27 left in the game) and proceeded to get two 1st downs to take the game to the 2-minute warning. All that was left for the Cowboys to do was to kneel down three times and run out the clock. Oh, did you forget that Andy had already burned all three of his timeouts with those two ridiculous failed challenges? Please try to keep up. This is Andy Reid and he never deviates from his script to nowhere.
In his post-game press conference Andy was asked what his team needs to do to be better on third downs, since they converted just four of 12 opportunities against the Cowboys. Andy simply said, “We need to convert them.” What an arrogant jerk this man is. Usually a coach needs to actually win something before he looks down his nose at the rest of the world. Bill Belichick is insufferable, but at least the man has won a few Superbowls. Andy will never win a Superbowl.
I can’t imagine that there are any Andy Reid supporters left out there, but if there are - I challenge you to leave me comments as to why you think I’m wrong. I’m not wrong, but I’d love to have the opportunity to refute any pro-Reid opinions. Bring it on!

Dallas Cowboys Defeat Philadelphia Eagles
Beautiful tittle!!
Dallas had more total yards, more 1st downs, a better 3rd down conversion rate, AND won the turnover battle.
Romo was clutch in the 4th, McNabb came up short. Reid’s 4th and 11 FG decision never would’ve been made had McNabb made something happen on 3rd and 10 the way Romo did on 3rd and 14 (49 yard TD to Austin).
Is it possible… just POSSIBLE… that Dallas won because they were the better team?
I hope you dumbazz eagle fans get your wish and run off the best coach and QB you guys have ever had and then learn what it means to truly suck. Go Cowboys!!
Yeah, we could have Wade Phillips right? Andy needs to go because he can’t win a Championship. Of course the cowboys can’t even win a PLAYOFF game in the last DECADE, so I guess it could be worse. Why don’t you loser Cowboys fans go crawl back under your rocks. You KNOW Romo and the rest of the team once the calendar turns to December. They ALWAYS do.
bob, you are a pathetic man and all eagle fans are just just as pathetic. your team sucks, your city sucks, everything about philly sucks.
cowboys 20 AT eagles 16
go cowboys beotch!
Hey I gotta talk smack while I can because history says you’re right and Dallas will do the el foldo in December. Hope things are different this year, but I’ll have to wait and see.
One thing I’m almost sure of is that your Eagles will be playing tough as the regular season ends. I think Reid does a great job of having the team get better as the season progresses. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if this year is different but I fully expect the last game of the year to be every bit as tough as the first one. Recent history says your Eagles are lock to win it.
This game was very close and could have gone either way and I fully expect the young players on the Eagles to get better, so if the boys have a shot of sweeping they better keep improving too
hey eagles fans…
u mad?
Oh yet another fact, the Eagles nor the Cowboys have won a Super Bowl during the timeframe you speak of Bobbie. Gotta go shine those 5 trophies we have, you should do the same…oh wait you don’t have anything to shine but the trophy case glass.
Bobbie boobie,
The cowboys band wagon is now accepting aplications maybe you should get onboard with a team that can get wins when it matters.
Until the Cowboys can win a single playoff game in the last decade, they are gutter trash and their fans have no right to speak. Period.
I’m 26 years old and I don’t go around talking about all the crap I did in High School. Why should Cowboys fans talk about all the Super Bowls their team won in the 90s with different staff, a different coach, and completely different roster?
Remember last year when the Cowboys beat the Eagles in November in a close game? Yeah, how’d that work out for them in December and January, huh?
We have won as many trophys as your team in the last decade.
In high school you try to forget all those times you were bullied for being an Eagles fan. That is why you don’t bring it up. The NFL is all about history. History in the NFL tell us that the Eagles have yet to win a Super Bowl. The Tampa Bay Bucs have one and they’ve only been in the NFL 33 yrs. A Super Bowl victory for the Cowboys will make us all forget that they didn’t win a playoff game in 12 yrs or whatever it is.
And guess what?
Tony Romo and the inept Cowgirls led by Wade Phillips will NEVER get to a Super Bowl, let alone win one.
The NFC this year is going to be won by either the Saints or the Vikings - the Cowboys will be lucky to win a single playoff game.
Bottom line is, in the past decade, the Eagles have been FAR more successful than the Cowgirls, Super Bowl or not. Nobody cares about shit that happened in decades ago - all that matters is what’s happening now. And what’s happening now is that the Cowboys are GARBAGE, year in and year out, and the Eagles are usually a better team. That ain’t gonna change this year, close loss in November or not.
If we’re going to talk history Cowboys fans, then the Eagles have won THREE NFL Championships. Since they have no impact on the current teams, I don’t bother to bring them up. You see, bringing up the glory of the past is what the LOSERS of today are forced to do. Try winning a playoff game in the past decade and then come and talk to me you bandwagon jumping scum.
Oh Bobbie Boob did reality piss you off or what. You’re the freaking scumbag - why don’t you get a really job? So the Eagles have 3 championships - that is still 2 less than what the Cowboys have, and the Eagles had a 27 yrs head start. By the way Bobbie - you might consider joining the BIGGEST LOSER next year - I’m sure you could shed some pounds you fat bastard.
[...] Cowboys already beat the Eagles earlier this season, 20-16 in Philly. But don’t forget how the Eagles stomped the Cowboys on [...]
