More fun than a punch in the face: Philly Fitbash

It happens twice a year, a chance for the overweight and under-exercised portion of the Philadelphia area to get off their collective lazy butt, spit out that Twinkie and make a Rocky-like charge to Philly Fitbash at Buck’s County Community College on Sunday, November 30, 2008, from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Just remember to take it easy if it’s your first time off the couch this year. Work yourself in slow. What is Philly Fitbash? I thought you’d never ask, Cupcake Boy. It’s only the epicenter of all that is good and decent about western (un)civilization. It can bring your carcass back to life, magically pay off ALL your credit card debt and make you the most popular person on your block by far.

* The previous claims have been exaggerated for the purpose of hyperbole. Readers’ mileage may vary, individuals represented are paid actors, and/or none of this may actually apply to your specific case. You should consult a random attorney for no particular reason.

Whew. Glad we got the fine print out of the way.

This time around, Philly Fitbash is once again filled with fitness, fun, frolic, and excitement. Sean Landeta, retired Eagles punter, will be the featured guest speaker on the topic of exactly how to make your dream a reality. NFL hopefuls, need a kick in the rear to raise your motivation a notch or two? Listen up! He ain’t Lombardi but he’ll do.

Philly Fitbash is also the uber-perfect place to take care of holiday shopping for the fitness psycho on your list. With more than 100 vendors and 4,000 attendees expected, it’s a pretty sure bet you’ll be able to find IT, whatever it is. Hey, you know if it’s hosted by Philly Fit Magazine it’s going to be good.

You can learn more about the bash here. Bucks County Community College is located at 275 Swamp Road, Newton, PA 18940. Need to know something else? Call 215-396-0268.
