Congratulations to the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies!

It’s hard to believe that we have another shot at a World Series Championship, but the day has arrived!

Congratulations to the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies!!! Who they face remains to be seen as the ALCS between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox hasn’t ended. All signs point to it being the Rays, but the Red Sox have pulled off the “down 3-1 comeback” before.

Cole Hamels is the MVP of this NLCS and, given his “shade higher” than 1.00 ERA and 3-0 post-season record, he is probably most deserving. My vote would have been for Shane Victorino. His energy, enthusiasm, timely hitting and incredible fielding have been worthy of Most Valuable Player of this series. Especially this Game 5 - he covered so much ground in the outfield I was convinced that nothing was going to hit the turf tonight.

I figured it would take 6-games. Here at TWIP, we’re thrilled it only took 5-games. Here’s hoping that the Phils can carry this effort into the final series of the season! 15-years since our last World Series appearance. 28-years since our last World Series Championship.

Broad Street is long overdue for a parade. “You Gotta Believe!”

LET’S GO PHILLIES!!!
