// Morimoto

Iron Chef Morimoto himself presides over the sushi bar in back of this culinary theater decked in bamboo ceilings and color-changing booths. In his hands the simplest sushi becomes a dining delicacy – lightly sweet eel, subtly buttery salmon, perfectly crisped soft shell crab. But the house specialty is Japanese fusion like tempura with gorgonzola sauce or wasabi in white chocolate mousse.

The Chef’s Dinners are priced at $80, $100, $120 and feature inventive raw fish and vegetable combinations, plus reliable entrée choices. If you’re not in the mood to lighten your bank account to that extent, try the lunch menu where for $16-28 you get an entrée, miso, fried rice, and salad. For libations try the Sakura, a Cosmo made with Sake. Nothing to complain about at all in this bright, bustling atmosphere.
