The ultimate party month of 2008 charges headlong into it’s third week with La Fete d’ Oktoberfest presented by Brasserie Perrier October 16th from 5:30 PM – 11PM. By now we all know what to expect from any self respectin’ Oktoberfest and this one will not disappoint. Sure it started in a meadow in Germany a long time ago but these days everyone is invited and, to paraphrase possibly insane sportscaster Dick Vitale, it’s all about the party, baby!
Welcome to the best of German things to do in Philadelphia.
Brasserie Perrier will be busting out a Germanic bar menu to complement the specially priced beer. Get your taste buds tuned for boudin, knockwurst, pork trotters, duck and pastrami reuben sandwiches served with the city’s best fries – all at celebratory prices of course. Brewmeisters from the celebrated Victory Brewery will be on-hand to present samples of their enlightening elixirs and offer insights about their sudsy science.
And to kick the festive-o-meter clear off the scale, entertainment will be provided by the lovely and vivacious Delilah’s Showgirls, along with music from DJ Benja Styles. No, not strippers. SHOWGIRLS.
Located at 1619 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, you can learn more about Brasserie Perrier here. With this Oktoberfest, the fun doesn’t stop even when it’s over. Head for Zee Bar Philadelphia after 11 PM if you wanna keep going until 3AM. After that, you’re on your own if you want to party until sunrise or later. The rest of us have to sleep some time.
