Small but not cramped, with a front bar and pool room leading to a dimly-lit concert space. Still, the North Star has grabbed a good handful of the live rock ‘n roll scene over the past 8 years or so and won’t be turning loose any time soon.

The bar menu is inexpensive, with burgers, nachos, and other utensil free fare. Beer features a rotating selection of imports and microbrews. While trying to be all things at once (corner bar, music venue, trendy hangout), the North Star does a pretty good job.
