First Unitarian Church This intentionally diverse Unitarian Universalist congregation was inspired by a historic urban ministry established in Philadelphia in 1796 with the goals of leading meaningful lives, loving one another without prejudice, and building a just and sustainable world.

As an official welcoming congregation, the First Unitarian Church is inclusive of bi-sexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender people. For those with disabilities, the church provides assisted listening devices, large print orders of service and hymnals, and wheelchair access to the sanctuary, Parish room, and chapel. The church also functions as an open-minded music venue for everything from indie rock to full throttle gospel.
