Franklin Institute As a part of Philadelphia history for 175 years, The Franklin Institute has retained its passion for exploration and discovery. Through interactive exhibits, theater-based programming, and educational programs, the Franklin stays focused like a laser on the continuing mission – public science and technology education.

Composed of three distinct divisions, The Science Center leads the way with interactive exhibits, the Fels Planetarium, the Tuttleman IMAX Theater. The Center for Innovation in Science Learning helps teachers and administrators via online educational resources, as well as providing a special focus for girls and young women to find interests and opportunities in science. The third division is the Benjamin Franklin Center, which recognizes extraordinary achievements in science and technology when it hosts the Franklin Awards, one of the oldest and most prestigious programs of its kind.

The Franklin is Philadelphia tourism at its best.
