The bikers are coming! The bikers are coming! Hide the women and children, grow your goatee and sort of grunt when you talk. Speaking of goatees, I know this biker dude in Missouri who has so much chin hair it looks like a hedgehog is permanently attached.
But that’s not important now. The important thing is that I stop my blabbing and tell you about the Philadelphia Motorcycle Expo coming to the Valley Forge Convention Center January 24 & 25, 2009. Doors open at high noon both days but let’s try not to have any shootouts, okay?
Top bike builders from around the country will be showing their beautiful mugs and, rumor has it, maybe bringing a creation or two along for display. If you’re into bikes and I mean REALLY into bikes, you’ll easily recognize some of these names:
• Jim Nasi
• Doug Kiem
• Craig Whitford
• John Lange
• Matt Elsey
• Bill Dodge
• “Nobody”
• Howard Sofield
• Keino
Plus vendors, live music and, of course, the bike show. If you’ve ever wanted to take up an insanely expensive hobby that annoys the neighborhood and gets you the cold shoulder at night from your spouse, this is it. Or just maybe both of you should show up and experience this two-wheeler thingie together.
Plenty of free parking at Valley Forge. For more information you can click over to their website here or call 973-663-6377 and use the double secret password “Easy Rider.” The Valley Forge Convention Center is located at 1160 First Avenue, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
