Imagine a nearby place where extraordinary wines from around the world are perfectly paired with international cuisines from Philadelphia’s finest restaurants. If you’re a seasoned wine drinker or even an amateur sipper you’d probably sell your neighbor’s first-born child to attend an event like this. Just think. No passport or airfare required.
No accidental boarding of the wrong plane either, when you connect through Nepal and mistakenly end up as a Sherpa busting your hump to carry other people’s stuff up a really big mountain. Don’t worry too much though. You’d probably be in great shape by the time you got back down.
But we’re not concerned with that right now because it’s not going to happen to you. You’re going to stay here safe and sound in good old Philly while the food and wine is brought to you. Here’s how it’s going to go down.
Philadelphia Magazine’s Global Food and Wine is here! It takes place at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown on Friday, October 17, 2008, at 6 PM. Tickets are $65 for one person or $120 for two.
