The peasants are revolting!
Of course they are. They don’t bathe regularly.
Did you know that when the French people stormed the Bastille on July 14, 1789, there were only seven prisoners languishing in the gloomy towers of that esteemed and despised edifice? Seven. Still, for seven people a movement was born. The event became a flashpoint for the French revolution and rise of the republic.
These days you can go on down to the vicinity of the Fairmount neighborhood on Thursday, July 10, 2008, at 23rd and Fairmount, and do a little Frenchie-style celebrating of your own. Starts at 7:00 pm.
Come on! Let’s party like it was 1789.
Fairmount goes French with Kronenbourg 1664 beer specials all night at participating restaurants and bars. Wanna know what you get when you buy a Kronenbourg? A French pick-up line coin!
