They can be funny on command: The N Crowd

The N Crowd performs weekly 90 minute shows around the Philadelphia area, almost 200 of them in the last four years. That’s a pretty rigorous schedule to be funny on. You try it! Their first home was at 213 New Street, then they moved on to The Society Hill Playhouse, and now make their home sweet home at the Actors Center.

What goes on at an N Crowd performance? There’s really no way of telling. It goes like this: the performers take suggestions from the audience and then act out scenes based on the suggestions. No script. No props. Nowhere to run. It’s a sort of controlled chaos and who knows what the ending is going to be?

This free-form comedy attack is like nothing you’ve ever seen before, unless of course you’ve been to an N Crowd show before. Even then, since every performance is created on the spot, no repeats!
